EditPad Lite: Alternative to Notepad

The version of Notepad included in Windows 7 is no different from the one included in Windows 95. The Plain text editor hasn't even evolved a bit. In this post I am going to discuss about an excellent alternative to the stagnant Notepad.

EditPad Lite is a lot better than the in-built Notepad. There is also a paid version called 'Editpad Pro', but the free version should suffice most of the users around. There is also an option to convert the file you create to a Unix/Mac formats. Files from these platforms can also be opened with this nifty program. The View in web browser option makes it easy for you to write HTML codes and preview them directly on a browser without having to manually open the HTML file with a browser.

This program is just too good and has done enough to impress me. I recommend you give it a try!
