Linux (GNOME) has a nifty feature that helps you easily get to your CD's or Flash Drives. Whenever a CD or any removable media is inserted into it's appropriate drive the icon of the drive appears automatically on your desktop which enables you to get to them easily.
This feature is not available on Windows, In this post I am going to guide you towards automatically getting a shortcut for removable media on your desktop.
This software stays on the system tray and does its function properly. The best part of this software is that the shortcut stays in the desktop only till the media stays in the drive, once your remove your CD the icon goes off and leaves your desktop clutter-free.
