Roundup – October 2010


October had been a very productive and a happening month for PC Geek. We had our first giveaway this month and though it didn’t have many takers, we were happy with the response we received. The traffic has also been impressive with over 4000 hits during the month. Following is a list of the most read articles this month.
Deviant Art user ‘Windows Zealot’ has come up with a pretty cool screensaver that scans your computer for malware/virus when the screensaver is activated (i.e. when you are away). 
This post will benefit bloggers looking for some help with all the widgets around. Remember that most of the widgets I mention require no or little knowledge of HTML from your side
With all the hype around android, iOS and the Windows Mobile 7 – Symbian is clearly dying, but, if you already own a Symbian (like myself), there’s no use in complaining.
    Windows should never be used out-of-the-box (and if you use it forever without taking additional measures, it won’t last long and you will end up reinstalling the OS) and I’ve learnt that after servicing PCs for a couple of years.
