Some of you might have read a report back in November about Facebook working on a version of Messenger for Windows. The app itself is still in a private BETA, but the folks over at The Windows Club found a public link with which you can download and try it out.

Not often do we find a list of awesome tools for Windows users at this point of time when everyone is focussed on writing more about tablets and smartphone apps. Scott Hanselman’s list of helpful Windows software is one of the best (and diverse) I’ve ever seen and I’m pretty sure you’ll discover something great for your needs even after casually skimming through it.
