How to make links to files and folders on Dropbox?

Dropbox has newly added a feature by which you can link someone to any file/folder that you have in your account. This doesn’t mean that they get to edit the files (as in shared folders), but the recipient can view the contents of the folder that you are linking him/her to. Here’s how you can make a link to a file or a folder.

Link 1

  • Log into your Dropbox account.
  • Now, hover the cursor over the folder that you wish to share and click on ‘Get link’ as shown in the screenshot. The same applies to sharing a specific file as well. Here’s a sample of a picture from my Dropbox.
  • Share the link that you find.

You can find the option lurking around on your desktop and mobile version of Dropbox as well.

Hope this helps!
